Watch Collection

Sigh ~

I taught myself how watches and clocks work (while in the 5th grade, and I made all my own tools to do so). Then I found myself fixing watches and clocks for customers while a Freshman in High School, including Railroad Watches and Chronographs. After I got out of the service and married a great wife, I took up the hobby again, and little by little I put together a "poor-man's" pocket-watch and wrist-watch collection. Now, I'm finding it difficult and risky to do repairs for other folks, and some cases even my own.

As a result, and after much praying about it, I've decided to sell all of my meager collection at a little below market prices.

I have carefully documented everything, complete with photographs, and in most cases computerized timing diagrams. There are some which are still in need of repair, and noted as such, and hope to be able to get to repair them soon.

I will not defraud or scam anyone, and I also do not like anyone to try to take unfair advantage of me either. There are a few of "not necessarily rare", but very "uncommon" movements available as well.

Values are given according to the 2000 #20 book "Complete Price Guide to Watches" by Cooksey Shugart and Tom Engle, with the page numbers corresponding to the location in the book. I plan to add my collection of wrist-watches later, as time permits. I am not a re-seller or retailer, this is my own personal collection, and I'm not desperate or in a terrible hurry to "dispose" of any of these watches.

Correspondence info to be added soon.
